He joined the Universitat de València as an adjunct professor of the Department of Computer Science of the Universitat de València, Estudi General in 2017, and he was a vocational education teacher,  at Generalitat Valenciana in the area of Computer Systems and Applications until 2019.

He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Telecommunications engineering from Universitat Politécnica de Valencia, Spain, in 2004 and 2009, respectively.

From 2003 to 2009, he was a Research Assistant at the Valencia Nanophotonics Technology Center (NTC) of the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain working in wireless photonic integration communication systems and ultra wideband radio over fibre systems. In 2010, he joined the Optical Communications Research group, Northumbria Communications Research Lab at Northumbria University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom, as a Research Fellow.

From 2014 until 2017, he joined  the Photonics Research Labs (PRL) at ITEAM research institute of the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow under the Juan de la Cierva Fellowship programme. During April and June 2017 he was invited as a guest researcher at Chalmers University, Göteborg, Sweden.

In 2018 he joined the Department of Computer Science of the Universitat de Valencia as Adjunct Professor of Telematics Engineering, in topics such as Mathematical foundations of communications, Telecommunication systems foundations or Computer architecture and networks.

Since 2019 he is a Lecturer with the Department of Electronic Engineering of the Universitat de València, Estudi General in topics of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, optical communications and instrumentation for electrical engineering

As a researcher he collaborates with international research institutions and companies such as Universitat Politècnica de València, Czech Technical University of Prague, Chalmers University, Northumbria University at Newcastle, HHI, Ericsson AB and others. He is a researcher at RAMONET and AICAR projects for developing new concepts of radio managements via optical/Hybrid wireless communications for mobility environments, V2V, V2X, cobots, etc.. Moreover, he has participated in several international research projects, e.g. IST-UROOF, ICT-UCELLS, EU COST action IC0802, IC1101, CA19111 and published more than 60 works in recognized international journals and conferences. He also participates in projects of educational innovation and awareness-raising and scientific dissemination such as GIRLS4STEM, led by the Universitat de València.  His research interests include electronic for communications systems, microwave photonics,  5G communications, IoT, robotics, heterogeneous communications networks, quantum optics, wireless secure systems, optical wireless communications, photonics integrated systems and optical access networks. He is open also for collaboration on any interesting research topic on telecom, optics physics, and others.
